- Before 2005, there was no such thing as “uploading a video.” Until then, Youtube was a small website waiting for its biggest partnership, Google. 3 former Paypal workers invented a website called Youtube; The 3 envisioned one place where we could share and watch videos online. In late 2006 Google Inc, the fastest growing company ever, bought Youtube for $1.65 billion. With companies and television networks picking up on Youtube, the website would have to be ready for it’s biggest rush in 2007. Like the word Kleenex, Youtube has become the main name in video sharing on the Internet. You can’t forget that Youtube has been criticized for its lack of enforcing the copyright law and being known for it’s inappropriate videos. Overall, Youtube is not leaving anytime soon but it is growing with its new High Definition viewing mode and integration with phones and media players. Youtube has become an American staple in pop culture and the main uploader in video sharing on the Internet.

iPhone

- Anywhere you go today, someone is using an iPhone right next to you. In 2007, Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Inc, showed off what would become the fastest selling phone EVER! The iPhone was packed with a revolutionary phone, first touch screen iPod, and a way to view photos with the pinch of a finger. Before, no one had ever heard of anybody standing in line for a phone; but the iPhone changed that when it went on sale mid 2007 for a luxury price of $600. People had no problem paying the high price for a phone with the best cutting edge technology. Till then, phone companies (i.e Motorola, HTC, Nokia, Palm, Blackberry, LG etc.) haven’t made a phone that would be better then an iPhone. Later in 2008, we find out that Apple does it again with the App Store. Today, the App Store has a total of over 150,000 apps; that doesn’t even come close to the other competitors (i.e Blackberry, Android, Palm etc.) With the iPhone exclusively being on At&t, people are speculating that the iPhone may come to other carriers, one specifically being Verizon. To many, the iPhone is loosing its lust, forcing Apple to make a NEW iPhone that revolutionizes the smartphone market all over again.

High Definition

- It’s nothing new but high definition never made its way to the consumer until early 2000. The concept of “HD” isn’t just about clarity in the television picture, but more of a better quality format. HD has become the standard in television viewing and in the DVD’s we watch with the new Blu-ray format. With HD comes a premium price tag; with the money you spend on 1 blu-ray movie, you can buy 3 regular DVD’s for that same price (pricing may differ.) HD being such a better picture than SD (standard definition), companies have made it standard in their products and making it an option for viewing videos online. The clarity of HD just can’t be surpassed, turning it into the normal format of the 21st century. Some may think paying the premium tax isn’t all worth it; HD doesn’t change the content of what you see but more of an eye-appealing look. Now HD isn’t compatible with older technologies, making a pathway for companies to cash in and include HD in all future products. The futuristic format has already been in family households for a while now, making everyone think, “What’s the next new format?”

Bluetooth

- Hands free calling has been one of the best luxuries to hit the consumer market. In 2004, Bluetooth hit a strong note in cell phones when version 2.0 was released. Now getting technical, 2.0 offered EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), it promised faster data transfer. Many think that Bluetooth is only for cell phones, but don’t know that it is commonly found laptops, cameras, gaming devices, cars, etc. To make it short and simple, Bluetooth is just a wireless connection that exchanges data back and forth, over short distances. Bluetooth has been such a success, having states making it a LAW when talking on the cell phone while driving. Now the price has fallen dramatically over the years, being $200+ for a Bluetooth headset, but now being $20 and above. With anything, comes controversy and problems; one being, the fear of cancer in the ear. Most technology today emits a radiation, the emission of energy waves, which can cause a form of cancer. Now Bluetooth headsets emit a lower amount of radiation than cell phones, but since the earpiece is attached to your ear, it’s closer to the brain creating the fear of brain cancer. You shouldn’t have to worry about it today, since the technology has come a far way, making it safe for everyone. Bluetooth is still going strong today, leaving a lot of room for improvement and innovation.

The “Digital Version”

- Having a digital version instead of a hard copy seems to be the norm nowadays. Instead of owning a CD, we use mp3’s, instead of having photo albums, we having a flickr or photobucket account, instead of having letters, we have e-mails, are you starting to get it. The digital evolution started decades ago, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that it started catching on. When the iPod and iTunes were introduced, it sent people the message that we don’t need to carry CD’s around; instead, you could carry 10,000 songs in your pocket with this software and hardware. The world still never caught on, leaving the question, “Why should I rebuild my already large media collection, to this new format we never heard of.” When people understood how they could save in the future and have all their media in the palm of their hands, they bought in fast. This left a big gap in the actual production of these dying formats. Music and video stores started closing up, while publishing companies started to realize that they could save millions by just releasing a digital version of what the people wanted. The next victim in this digital world is the physical books that are starting to be obsolete. With the Kindle dominating the book reading world, this leaves a lot of publishers have to stop production of their physical books and just creating a digital version. What all this comes down to is a better version and more convenient way of interacting with our media. Making everything digital isn’t going to stop anytime soon, heck, we just transferred over to digital television. The biggest question hanging over the media world now is, “What’s next to be obsolete?”

Working on my website has been my main passion and it will stay that way, being on the internet is my life; making my name heard all over the internet is not so easy. I always do my best to get my content out for you the viewers to enjoy as fast as possible.

ttw808 will be on hold for a while until I can get everything straighten out. My biggest problem right now is to get my photography work integrated with my website. This means, when you visit ttw808.com, it lets you go to my youtube, facebook, twitter, and photography page all in one place. I need all the support I can get right now, so please standby with me as these changes start to take shape. As of now, enjoy the beginning of 2010 and hope to see you on the web. Thank You - Troy Wong, CEO

For 3 years, I've been with the iPhone. Over the years I started to get tired of the interface, especially when they make NO physical/design change from a 3G to a 3GS. One of my biggest pet peeves was the lack of updating me on EVERYTHING! All the wasted space on the iPhone's lock screen could be used to display missed calls, new emails, new calendar appointments. Putting all 100,000 apps aside, Apple has been slow to give the features we really needed.

Not a fan of the iPhone. Once I got my iPhone 3GS back in July, it really felt like nothing changed, it never even felt like I got a new phone. Everyday getting fed up with email, I decided to sell my iPhone (not telling you how much I sold it for) and get a phone that would really get my jobs done without complaint. I was also looking for a phone with a fresh new interface and design. I went to At&t and asked for the best phone the had, it was the HTC Touch Pro 2 (AKA At&t Tilt 2.) I used the phone for a few days and decided to return it immediately. Trying to customize the setting to my likings could have been on of the hardest things I have ever done on a smartphone. Then I asked for the 2nd best, the Blackberry BOLD 9000. Setting up email was a BREEZE, and finding the same apps I had on my iPhone just felt like a smooth transition.

The Blackberry BOLD felt really wide in the hand but still felt thin in the pocket. I enjoyed using the phone but there were times were it froze up/delayed a bit but nothing to the point where I had to do a FULL reset to the phone. The software just works with everything you do on the phone; When viewing a photo, you can chose to send it to twitter, upload to Facebook or Myspace, set to contact, set as wallpaper, etc. All of this while just staying with in the photo application, not having to go back to Facebook and uploading as another step. The trackball on the phone does make a noise when moving it around but its a new way for me to navigate through the phones OS. My favorite part about the phone is that it does everything I want; For example, when I want to delete email it asks if I want to delete it off the "phone" or the "phone and email server". This saves me a step from having to go back to my computer to delete the email that I already deleted on my phone. Overall, the phone has some issues but solves my biggest problems that I had with the iPhone. Some maybe thinking that I've downgraded with my phone choice. Going through High School and more emails coming through, I really didn't have time to play games on my phone but really just needed to get the job done, and thats what the Blackberry BOLD 9000 lets me accomplish.

I do plan to return the Blackberry Bold 9000 in the coming weeks. At&t plans to release the newest and BESTBold (Left) Bold 9700 (Right) - Look at the new Trackpad. Blackberry called the Blackberry 9700. Once I get the Blackberry 9700, It will really make me love Blackberry even more. It improves my biggest fault with the Blackberry which was the scroll ball by replacing it with a touch sensitive touchpad. The phone will be released November 22nd for $199.99 with a 2 year contract.

Last thursday, I received a package from Adorama Camera in New York; I knew what it was and couldn't wait to open it. Of course, it was my Canon EOS 7D, the camera that I was waiting for almost 5 months. Originally I was going to purchase the Canon EOS 50D, but decided to wait for a BIG update, thats when I purchased the 7D. With the camera, I also purchased a 16GB Extreme CF card (60 mb/s), Canon 10-22mm WIDE angle lens, and 2 Lowepro bags (1 sling, and 1 pouch.) In this article, I'm going to discuss my very first impression of the Canon EOS 7D, my very first DSLR.

LOOK/FEEL

Canon 7D w/ 15-85mm lensWhen I first picked up and held the camera in my hand, I could definitely feel the weight. The textured rubber on the camera feels good, and the grip just fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. The buttons and controls feel the way buttons and scroll wheels are suppose to feel. One thing to note, the shutter button is very springy, it doesn't feel like your making a button press; I had a hard time disguising weather I was making a half shutter or a full button press. A big plus is the 7D's MAIN display; with the 3 inch screen, I really can look at my pictures with great detail. The 7D does have some special buttons that are new for me like the "Q" and "RAW/JPEG" button that really makes changing setting much easier. The camera looks very big in my hand compared to the Rebel XS or the Nikon D5000. When I was playing around with the Canon rebel T1i, it really felt cramped and to me, needed more buttons. I loved how the 50D had a BIG scroll wheel to navigate through the OS, and it just felt even better on the 7D. The best part of the 7D was the nice size screen at the top of the camera, showing you aperture, ISO, exposure, shutter speed etc. With the small screen, I really don't use the MAIN screen.

OPERATING THE CAMERA

This being my first DSLR, I really don't have anything to compare it with. Now the operating system feels goodCanon 7D back and is very fast. When using the camera, I notice that I haven't been using the MAIN display to change my setting as much, the small screen at the top just makes everything go faster. Me having to just press ISO and use the scroll wheel to get the right number is way faster than going to look at the screen then navigating to ISO the scrolling to the correct number. Now when you turn on and off the camera, the camera actually cleans the sensor by virbrating the senor so the dust just shake off. The best part of the OS is that it allows you to change the functions of the keys you press. The camera doesnt limit you, it lets you control it. When first using the camera, I actually first turned off the BEEP noise, it just to annoying and when taking pictures, you dont want to attract attention. Now like is said, this is my first REAL camera so looking at the full menu, will overwhelm you.

OVERALL

I waited, and thought paid off, I bought what I could afford and didnt regret the decision. Now the camera may have video functions, 8 FPS, 19 AF points, etc. I doesnt justify the price, it is an expensive camera and a great competitor to the Nikon D300s. If you have the money the go right ahead but if you have the money but want a good lens the go for the Rebel T1i or 50D and really spend the money on a good lens. Overall I'm excited to explore the new features of what this camera has to come. You can watch me open the camera below on my Youtube channel. If you have any tips to use the camera, please message me or email me at troy@ttw808.com. For more articles like this please visit www.ttw808.com.

(Click here to read more about the launch.) I will be posting the list of changes with some explination to why. Thank You for supporting www.ttw808.com.

CHANGES:

Front Page - Most of the time, the blog that is chosen for the week, is usually not ready to be published on time because the front page graphic has not been thought of or hasn't been started yet. To fix all these changes, I've made the big decision to just cut right to the blog articles, letting me just post what I have to say FAST and ON TIME, leaving you with more articles to read.

Design - There have been many changes in colors and in fonts, this will probably be the offical layout for the website. Weve chosen this layout because it's both Mac and Windows friendly and looks really good on the mobile.

Links - I am trying to get my name heard even more; If you notice, I am starting to make logins for people. If you are intersted in a login name then please message me for an invite.

TTW808 video player (coming soon.) - I am planning to move all the ttw808 videos to our own video service. This leaves us from not using Youtube and Vimeo. I really want ttw808 to be as independent as can be.

This year, I bought my first DSLR (Canon EOS 7D) with a 10-22mm lens; I later find out that I need to take photos for a Beauty Pageant. Now my wide angle lens just wont cut it, I really need to get a telephoto lens just for a few days but I didn't have $2000+ to spend since I just bought the camera and lens. I wentHawaii Photo Rental Logo searching all over Hawaii for a rental store dedicated to camera gear. I found about 4 stores but Hawaii Photo Rental was just the place because on their website, they have an interactive calendar showing you when the lens is and is not available. The biggest plus about Hawaii Photo Rental is that the prices are just incredible, the longer you want to rent the lens, the cheaper the price gets per day. Hawaii Photo Rentals also rents out computers, camera accessories, lighting, Nikon gear, and Canon gear.

Renting couldn't be easier, just schedule the days you need your items ahead of time, and just sit back knowing your get to use the gear you need for the price you don't have to pay. For example, Rent-a-center offers furniture rentals for cheap if your trying to sell your home and you need it to look stage. Just wanting to play a video game once, consider GameFly, it's the Netflix for games. When you usually purchase a gadget that you have saved up for a long time, you treat it like an angel, making sure it stays as new as possible. You must treat the same level of respect to your rented items because remember, it's not yours. If you need something just for a few days then consider renting, it does'nt make you look cheap and it doesnt make you broke. Overall, this is just giving you another option for to get what you couldnt for the price you can afford. For more articles like this, visit www.ttw808.com

Compared to photobucket and Picassa, Flickr lets you really expand your picture library. Setting up Flickr is aFlickr Pro Account snap if you already have a yahoo email account but it only lets you upload 100MB worth of photos/videos. With Flickr, it allows you to tag photos, create sets, upload videos, share, fast uploading, contacts, edit photos, etc. If your photo library is taking over your hard-drive on your computer then consider upgrading your account to the "Pro" account; This enables you to upload all the videos and photos you want with no limit capacity. The Pro account to me is a MUST but will cost $25 for 1 year subscription. In realism, you can keep you whole photo library in the cloud "internet" saving you precious hard-drive space. Photos mean a lot to people and they just want to keep it personal so Flickr enables you to keep all or some sets of photos private. The part about sharing your photos/videos are "Guest Passes." A Guest Pass gives permission to anyone you give a invite to, this creates a limited time to look at that specific set of photos while leaving the public out.

Flickr lets you upload and share photos from any device your on. They have a mobile version of the website that loads your photos really fast with any enables internet cell phone. Along side the website is a FREE iPhone app that was just recently released that lets you upload, share, edit etc. your photos on the go in 1 app. (Click here to download app.) They also have a specific app for you computer (Windows, Mac) that only lets you Flickr iPhone appupload photos. Plus for iPhotos users, iPhotos lets you directly upload photos that are in your albums with ease. You don't need "your" computer to view and upload your photos, it's all on the Flickr website. Flickr also lets you search for specific subjects (i.e Blue-stripped cup) and shows you all the photos with those tags/subject in the photo. To look for photos, I use Flickr, not Google.

My final thoughts, flickr is the easiest and funnest way to share and view your photos. Compared to photobucket, the features Flickr offers just make flickr the 1 choice in photo social networking. This is just a website but it's a fun and really easy to store all your photos in one place. Just imagine your computer breaking, all you photos and memories are gone. Some may disagree but that doesn't hurt you to try it out, it is free. For more articles like this please visit www.ttw808.com.

Most websites today embed a commenting system. In this article we look at how commenting can help and just be plain rude. NOTE: This is a quick blog due to all the work I've been going through. All my blogs have a meaning to it, I don't publish thoughts that I know people wouldn't enjoy to read/discuss.

Once you finish watching a video, looking at a picture, purchase something, you are given the opportunity to comment that specific subject. Comments are most red when you are looking at an item to purchase. Reading the comments from the users that have already purchased the product could be the make or break of you purchasing that product. Most of the time it would say, this product has 4/5 stars; Now just because the ratings is so high, there might be that specific comment that catches your eye and makes you think twice before you purchase the product. Comments are also enable for media (i.e pictures, videos, profiles etc.) viewing. The user expresses how they feel and their impression/reaction to what they have just viewed. The bad side of comments are that most people type comments that are just stupid or have no relevant to the subject.

There have been many cases that comments have led to suicide and physical anger. Most social networks (i.e Myspace, Facebook, Twitter etc.) are now allowing the user to accept the comments that her or she receive before showing the public. People that are so protective over security, don't even show there comments on their profile or they just delete them once they've read them. When comments mean so much to people, they usually state how many people found that comment to be useful or just plain junk (i.e "200 people found this helpful.) Overall, comments are helpful, they express the way we feel, and they really do mean a lot, just make sure they stay positive. For more articles like this, visit www.ttw808.com

#21 - What took so long for it to stop!

Everybody who has a phone, may it be a home, cell, or work, we had that one telemarketer call us. Starting this Monday, Spetember 1, 2009, the Federal Trade Commission is going to be banning these annoying phone calls. If you do receive another phone call then the sender would be fined more than $16,000. Now, there are exceptions to this banning; debt-collectors, politicians, charities, banks, phone companies etc are allowed to call you. Please note, this ban only applies for pre-recorded call, not from a LIVE person/agent. If you need to make a complaint about a phone call you get after September 1st then please call with the information provided below.
The launch of Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) was the best selling operating system for the Mac platform. Since 2007, it was time for an upgrade and we would later find out that it was going to be called "Snow Leopard." Now with most operating systems, you would expect tons of features and an all new user experience; With Snow Leopard, you get all new features but you don't visually see them. Snow Leopard is just a refined version of Leopard that really didn't need to be refined (in my opinion.)

Copyright © 2009 Apple Inc. All rights reservedWhen and if you decide to get a copy of Snow Leopard, you'll notice how cheap it is. Since Leopard was $129, Apple decided to price Snow Leopard at $29! Compare that with the new Windows 7 operating system ($100-600) that's just amazing. Think about it, Snow Leopard is a better version of Leopard and Windows 7 is a better version of Windows Vista, what was Microsoft thinking. Before you install Snow Leopard on your Mac, make sure you meet all the requrements, to see if your ok click here. Also, check your hard-drive to see how much sapce you have in there currently; Apple claims that Snow Leopard gives you 7GB of storage back to you but when I installed it, I got back over 20GB! (I'll show you how to check your hard-drive space in the next "Tips and Tricks.) Once installation is completed, you won't find many features but tons of improvements. I'm just going to tell you the 3 best things about Snow Leopard.

FAST JUST GOT FASTER

Copyright © 2009 Apple Inc. All rights reservedWith Snow Leopard, it makes your current hardware even better. After a year, most people say their computer is slow and getting junk but once you install Snow Leopard you really feel the jump in speed. In Leopard, it took me about 1min. to open 30 photos, in Snow leopard it only takes 40seconds. You see all the improvements from starting up to shut down times. Completing your simple tasks like typing a document just gets even faster with almost no wait and crashes. My take, you really can't beat the price for the rapidnis and the boost you get with your computer. You now don't have to purchase another $1500 laptop for another 2 years. Now theres a lot that goes into this boost of speed but I'm going to let Apple explain it, so click here for more info on features.

EXPOSE & STACKS

Copyright © 2009 Apple Inc. All rights reservedWe all probably used expose, (when you see all you windows on your screen at once) it just get our tasks completed faster and it just works. The new exposer show you all the programs running but in a beautiful grid instead of all your windows all different sizes and all cluttered. You can also hold down a program in the down and it shows you all the corresponding windows that your running in that specific program. Overall Apple really made expose more fun to use and it really looks GREAT!

Stacks was a really good way for us to get to our content faster. In SnowCopyright © 2009 Apple Inc. All rights reserved Leopard, if you click on a stack it springs up faster and the icons look more vibrant. If you have a lot of files in a stack, you are now able to scroll through the list of items instead of having to open a window (only applies for the "Grid" stack.) Also for the grid stack, you'll notice when you open a folder it automatically springs into that folder with out opening a new window like Leopard did. For the list stack, you'll just notice the new transparent black inside of the ugly grey. For the "fan" stack, nothing has been added or feature you can see. I love stacks and now I'm addicted.

QUICKTIME X

Copyright © 2009 Apple Inc. All rights reservedFor a long time we had Quicktime 7 and it ever was downloadable for Windows. The new Quicktime X lets you make video, audio, and screen recordings. With that comes a new with a black "top bar" and new controls that makes watching videos way more fun. Once a video is open in the new Quicktime, the top bar and the controls fade away leaving the video just floating. This really makes viewing videos in Quicktime and joy to watch. With Quicktime X, Apple still include Quicktime 7 for Mac and Windows.Copyright © 2009 Apple Inc. All rights reserved

Those other controls/features include:

Upload to YouTube

Convert for iPhone, iPod, Apple TV

Video trimming

Send to MobileMe gallery

Conclusion

What do you really have to loose, it's only $29 and it makes what you already have even better. My final thoughts, Snow Leopard is a great upgrade for those little fixes to Leopard. If you really don't want to get the upgrade then you wont be missing a lot since it is still Leopard. Other than that, Apple really made the right move on holding the features and improving what we already had for 2 years. For more articles like this, visit www.ttw808.com

#19 - My top 10 favorite website of 2009.

This could possibly be the reason why I don't watch TV. Revision3 features internet shows that are just so entertaining, you'll never find it on regular TV. My favorite show on Revision3 is Diggnation which features swearing, drinking, and just full awesomeness. These shows are not just recorded by kids/teens, the shows are produced and edited by professionals. Plus, the people who host the show are internet celebrities; So check out Revision3, there must be a show on there for you!

Everybody probably has a favorite video on youtube and wants you want to show it to all your friends but don't want to wait for it to buffer/load. KickYouTube is the easiest way to download YouTube videos only. The best part about KickYouTube is that you don't have to visit their website to download your favorite YouTube video. In the URL of your favorite YouTube video, all you have to do is add "KICK" and click enter.

With so many social networks (i.e Facebook, Xanga, Myspace, Twitter, etc.) we need on website that could update all of our status in one simple step. When you visit Ping.fm, all you need to do is setup an account and setup all your online profiles. After all the setup is done, just visit Ping.fm and choose "update statuses." After, type what you want, it will then shoot it out to all your services and will update them instantly. That is what I call easy, so visit Ping.fm.

The standard fonts that come pre-installed on your computer are just plain lame! The best site to download new fonts is www.dafont.com but what if you wanted to design your own personal font? Fontstruct is a service that lets you design your own personal font and lets you download other peoples creations as well. After you crate your own font, you can let the public to download it or you can restrict it to only letting your friends use it. How cool is that, when you type a report/document you can say that "I designed that font!" Everybody loves fonts so go check out Fontstruct.com and make your own personal font.

I've raved about interfacelift.com for so long that almost every I know gets their wallpaper from Interfacelift. So for more information about Interfacelift.com then check out my article I wrote specifically on great wallpapers. CLICK HERE TO READ THE ARTICLE.

Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask, are just the few and most popular search engines out there. Viewzi takes it into a new level with previews for your search results. For example, if you search for Boy Scouts then you get previews of what the websites results before even clicking on the result. Now you probably wont use this as your primary search engine but think about how cool this is, viewing websites before clicking on them! This also applies for videos, pictures, books, etc; You also get other choices of views that just make the viewing experience incredible.

If you don't want to pay for a 99 cent ringtone from Apple for your iPhone then use this wonderful service. Type the song you want your ringtone to be and BAM, you have multiple results with perfectly trimmed areas for your ringtone. What if they don't have the song your looking for? Audiko also allows you to upload your favorite song and trim the area you want your ringtone start and end. If you like the ringtone so much then you can share it with your friends online. The best part about the service is that you don't have to make an account to use the service, just go to Audiko.net and start searching. Don't worry, this works with most cell phones, not just the iPhone.

Just pick your favorite photo, then choose a template, then your done; You see the photo you chose where ever you see the "Lady face" in the template. It also has a feature called face-detection. With that, PhotoFunia replaces the template photo face with the face on the photo you chose.
With so many TV networks and a new TV show debuting almost every week, everybody has at least 1 favoriteHigh Definition v.s Standard Definition show from each network. This article is simply asking you "What's your favorite TV show?" TV has been around for many decades and is starting to see a new trend around all households. HD (High Definition) is changing the way we watch television and is starting to culminate the making of TV shows. The first sighting of HD viewing was seen through our local channels with Monday Night Football and our favorite TV show Heroes. Before HD, having a clear picture was what everybody wanted but now having HD on almost all networks, you start making your "Entertainment room." When you compare HD v.s SD (standard definition) it shows with the clarity and detail but it can only be seen through the television you have. Purchasing a "flat-screen" is all the rave with the benefits that come with it.

Just a few of the 1000 TV networks. After HD started popping up, the viewing audience (us) started to hate watching TV because we couldn't get the real detail out of the show. Now with FOX, DISNEY, ABC, MTV, NICK, DISCOVERY, TBS, etc. shooting their TV shows in HD is really pulling in the viewer and putting out more shows than ever. Before, only TV sitcoms were being viewed on a few networks (i.e ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX) like Full House, Bill Cosby, Bewitched, Growing Pains etc. Currently we start to see advertisements like, "1000 channels!" THAT'S JUST AMAZING. There a TV network for history, celebrity gossip, mystery, game shows, movies, sitcoms, and much more! Along with the TV networks come the rush of TV shows (i.e Kourtney and Khloe take Miami, Royal Pains, Clean House, Doll House, Kings etc.) With over 2000 shows, what's your favorite and do you think some of them should be cut? Since the recession started, book stores (i.e Barnes and Noble, Borders, Wal-mart etc.) haven't just seen a decrease in customers but also slow sales. On the other hand, Barnes and Noble - New York, New YorkeBooks have seen a major increase in sales and now everybody wants to get into the action. Before there was no such things as an eBook or an eBook reader, the only way we could read a book was to go down to our local book store and pay a premium price. Reading a book will never get old but what to do after were done with the book will always stay a mystery.

The company Amazon has made reading books a whole much easier with its MOST POPULAR eBook reader called the "Kindle." So far Amazon has already made a 2nd generation Kindle and has made a new Kindle to go in the family call the "Kindle DX." Since its release, the Kindle has made a name for itself being the most favorite device on Oprah's HOT LIST. If you don't know already the Kindle is an electronic book reader that reads eBooks. An eBook is a whole size book that is shrink down and turned into a "PDF" like file that can only be red on a eBook reader like the Kindle. Not just for reading books but the Kindle comes with free 3G service so you can purchase books right from the device and start reading in less than 1 minute. Now remember it's not just Amazon who is making these, "eBook readers" there are many other company like Sony, Astak, iRex, Cybook, iLaid, etc. Also to note, there are apps for the iPhone that duplicate the function of a Kindle but it doesn't look good on a 3 inch small screen.

Getting back to the topic, "Are eBooks the new book?" Books to publish now days, cost millions of dollars but with eBooks, all your really need to do is get it publicized and get those companies to put your book into their Amazon Kindle 2 (Click for more details)system. In addition, if your book doesn't sell then you just took a big loss; plus now days who has the space to store all those wonderful books if we could just have over 1,500 books in ONE single device. Plus with technology today, they even put textbooks inside these eBook readers. Imagine all students just having a device that holds all their textbooks and only having to carry that plus a notebook and pencil, it just simplifies everything. Remember, not all book are in the eBook format! Now your probably thinking why would I pay $200-500 just for the eBook reader alone. An eBook is much cheaper than a regular book if you were to buy it at a book store alone but how much?

"Unmasked - The final years of Michael Jackson." eBook - $9.99 / Regular - $15.99 thats a $6 savings!

A book will always be a book, may it be on a device or in your hand, it's just a personal preference. If your the type that wants the feel of a turn pager than go buy a book from the store but if your the type that just wants the connivence of 1,500 books in a slim device that can fit in your purse well than pay $300+ than get an eBook reader. Now if you get a Kindle then how much books would you have to buy to make the Kindle really "worth it." For me, I think I'm going to buy a Kindle.
Chris Pirillo at his home office.Chris Pirillo is known all over the internet community has been seen on t.v, books, and his 24/7 live stream on Ustream.tv. For many others, they just think of him as a guy with no life. Chris is all about tech and it shows with all his computer monitors and his whole office area. Well recently I had sent him a care package with Hawaiian favorites that he might have missed out during is vacation stay in Honolulu, Hawaii.

As a personal story, I've had many dreams and one of them was to meet Chris Pirillo up close in person. During his stay in Honolulu, Hawaii, Chris has made brief stops to local favorites including Zippy's Restaurant, Sergios Honolulu, Counters, Tiki Bar & Grill, etc. Chris even made an appearance on the KHON 2 Morning News segment with Jai Cunningham. During each stop he has met fans all from Honolulu, Hawaii; sadly I missed the once in a life time moment to meet him. Since my only opportunity to meet Chris was shot, I still never gave up to really "talk to him." A week ago I sent Chris a package with Hawaiian goods that I was planning to give him in person; Inside the package it contained the following A souvenir Zippy's bowl and Chopsticks, 2 can of Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts, 1 box of Hawaiian Hosts Chocolate covered Macs, and 1 Macadamia Nut lei. Once the package arrived at Chris's house he granted on of my biggest wishes, doing a video purely on his Hawaiian experience and include the package I sent him. When the video was be recorded live it was seen in front of more than 400+ viewers and that mean more publicity.

Now when you watch the video you won't notice Chris mentioning the website, so how does that publicize the website? When the 400+ viewers were watching, that name "ttw808" is now embedded in their head and will remember it the time they view my website. Overall I'm trying to get my website or name to be mentioned all over the internet community. NOTE: Down below I've embedded the video that Chris did about Hawaii.
